How do I know if my marketing is working?

The best way to assess whether your marketing is working is to track the results that have the biggest impact on your business – something we do at Neon Fizz obsessively.

It’s the start of a new month… July 2026 to be exact (Neon Fizz email subscribers - iykyk why we have the date clearly mentioned in this blog), so this is your reminder to take a look at the results from everything you did PR and digital marketing-wise in June. Work out what worked, what didn’t perform as well as you hoped, and take those learnings with you into July.

With marketing, it’s all about test, learn and adapt. On repeat.

How do I know if my social media strategy is performing?

  • What content resonated most with your audience – did it spark comments and conversation?

  • Did it make an impact on your overall goal?

Three valuable metrics we tell all Neon Fizz clients to keep an eye on are:

  1. Reach

  1. Engagement

  1. Link clicks

How do I know if my paid ads are effective?

Did they generate the results you were aiming for, whether that was

  • Sales

  • Enquiries

  • Website traffic

  • Brand awareness

  • Something else?

Which marketing activity brought in the biggest results? Was it press coverage, social media, email, paid ads, influencer partnerships, blogs, or something unexpected? What can you learn from that for next month? How are you keeping track of it all?

What will you do more of in July, and what will you change based on what you’ve learned?

Remember, your marketing doesn’t need to be perfect, but it does need to be intentional and consistent. Reviewing your results and what you actually did is what helps you make smarter decisions and spend your time (and budget) where it matters most.

If you’re feeling a bit stuck, Neon Fizz offers audits and strategy sessions that’ll help you understand what you’re currently doing and help you build a marketing plan that gets you closer to your goals. Get in touch talk about what you need.
